The Negros Maritime College Foundation Inc. has released the first partial cash subsidies to 65 Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) grantees amidst the COVID-19 pandemic under the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Unified Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UNIFAST) scholarship.

The distribution was given by batch from June 26 until July 5, 2020. Some of the grantees were represented by their parents/guardians due to the current age-limit

restrictions imposed by the national Inter Agency Task Force and border closures by local governments to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

All parents, as well as the students were thankful in receiving the P30,000 cash subsidy that was given by the national government through CHED and UNIFAST.

The cash subsidy distribution was being witnessed by the school president, Dr. Zeth dela Cruz-Fopalan.

The school congratulates all parents and grantees who have received the subsidy and are thankful to the national government for the sustainability of the scholarship program.
