As part of the ongoing celebration of National Maritime Week, selected third-year students from Negros Maritime College Foundation, Inc. were invited by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) to take part in a Port Education Tour last Thursday (September 25, 2025).

During the visit, the students were given the opportunity to observe daily operations inside the PPA offices, gaining valuable insights into how port activities are managed — from ensuring safe travel for passengers to implementing proper protocols for ships arriving and departing at the Dumaguete Pier.

Joining the students on the tour were Capt. Juanlito Villaflores, OIC/EW James Philip Jago, and NMCFI President Dr. Zeth Dela Cruz, who provided guidance and support throughout the activity.
