NMCFI to Host National Merchant Marine Aptitude Test on October 22

The Negros Maritime College Foundation, Inc. (NMCFI) has been selected as one of the campuses nationwide to administer the National Merchant Marine Aptitude Test (NaMMAT) this October.

The NaMMAT, administered by the Center for Educational Measurement, Inc. (CEM), is a standardized examination designed to assess the foundational skills of aspiring students who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) or Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE) degree.

To be eligible for the exam, applicants must be either:
• Senior High School graduates,
• Senior High School students in their graduating year, or
• Students who have already completed some college-level courses.

The test will cover two subject areas. All examinees are required to register online through the official NaMMAT website: https://www.cem-inc.org.ph/nammat/ prior to the examination date.

As part of the Negros Island Region cluster, NMCFI will conduct the NaMMAT on October 22, 2025.
