Last December 17 to 19, 2020, Negros Maritime College Foundation Inc. was inspected by the SOCOTEC Certification International for the continuity implementation of the Institution Quality Management system for the standard ISO 9001:2015 Recertification.

It is the first virtual inspection of the institution since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The virtual inspection was conducted for three days using the Zoom video conference platform, and was witnessed with SOCOTEC inspectors, who looked at inspecting the school facilities and guidelines.

The Institution passed the inspection without any non-conformities on December 19, 2020 and retaining the SOCOTEC’s certification to the institution, which began during the Presidency of the late Capt. Edith Vera, PCGA.

The passing of the SOCOTEC inspection is one of NMCFI’s big steps in ensuring world class maritime education and allows the faculty, staff and students to follow managemental guidelines based on the ISO 9001:2015 Standard.
