YMCA Awards 3 Outstanding Students

Last March 14,2014 , three graduating students namely, Cadet Mary Neilme Q. Flores (BSMT), Cadet James Rheyl M. Juguilon (BSMT), and Cadet James Philip P. Jago (BSMarE), received recognitions as 24th YMCA Outstanding Student Awardees.  The awards were given by Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) of Negros Oriental in a ceremony held at YMCA Conference Hall at Bantayan, Dumaguete City.

The aims of the said awards program are to motivate individuals and further develop their talents and potentials. Also, it provides and stimulates participation and involvement in human resources development. The ceremony was led by Atty. Arturo V. Umbac, President, and Mr. Greg G. Fernandez Jr., General Secretary.

Together with the other 250 students in Dumaguete City, and the municipalities of Bacong ,Sibulan, and Valencia, the said NMCFI students were awarded for recognition of their outstanding performance in school and the community. They were screened by the academic committee based on excellence in academic, co-curricular activities, extra-curricular activities, personal talents and skills, achievements and honors received, interpersonal relations, and personal interviews.
